Get To Know Yasin
Hi there! My name is Yasin and I'm a filmmaker, producer, director, and artist based in Rochester, New York. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in media production in 2020, and started my own media production company, Flower City Productions, while I was still in college.
I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and I came to the United States in 2003 at the age of 7. My life has been filled with incredible experiences and challenges, and I consider myself very lucky to have made it to America.
Despite the challenges in my country, I was able to escape to Pakistan with my family, where we lived for several years before finally making it to the United States.
Did You Know?
As a filmmaker, I have a passion for telling stories through a variety of genres, including weddings, documentaries, short films, and music videos. I particularly enjoy filming events, and I love being able to capture the special moments of a couple's big day and help them relive their memories for years to come. In addition to producing films, screenwriting, and acting in movies like "The Binge" and "Sex Appeal" (which are both available on Hulu), I also enjoy traveling to new places and meeting new people while working on exciting projects, like the recent documentary about Thalidomide survivors.
I'm excited to continue pursuing my passion for media production and sharing it with my clients. I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow as a filmmaker, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
